Jennifer Bailon
Jennifer and David BailonA NY native with parents from Colombia and Ecuador, Jennifer Bailon has been exposed to latin music her entire life. A desire to learn more about Hispanic culture led to her enrollment at the Lorenz Latin Dance Studio (LLDS). She began her dance career in 2006 at LLDS where she trained in New York style salsa dancing.
Jennifer participated in the LLDS student dance team in the summer of 2007 and in the winter of 2007-2008, she became a member of the semi-pro team Mambo Clasico. There, she received performance training, experience, and exposure. In the summer of 2008, she became a Lorenz Latin pro-team dancer and a children’s salsa instructor. Currently, Jennifer is a proud member of BAILA Society’s performance group BASo Alto. She is receiving training from renowned directors Ahtoy WonPat-Borja and Daniel Enskat, and their repertory dancers.
Jennifer is attending Baruch College, working towards a degree in accounting. Aside from working on her professional and dance careers, Jennifer enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also loves to dance salsa socially, and is fortunate to share this passion with her father, David Bailon.
